Citrix XenApp 6.5 Feature Pack 3 released!

fp1Yesterday, 30th of June, Citrix released Feature Pack 3 for XenApp 6.5. You can download it from the Citrix site:

As you see on the picture you might need to contact Customer Service support from Citrix to get access to that download. I was able to download only Advanced Edition which should be available for everyone. Not sure if any other components are included in the Platinum Edition.

Advanced Edition contains the below:

  • StoreFront 3.0– it supports now not only Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x, Citrix XenApp 6.5 but also previous version XenApp 5 (which should be already not present in your environment 😉 )
  • new Desktop and Web Receivers – new version of Receiver 4.3 is working with Flash Redirection and Flash Player 18.x . It was not working properly with previous versions causing all websites to be Dynamically Blacklisted. More info here: . If you use Citrix Receiver for Windows 3.4 it is advised to update to newer vesion 3.4.500:

StoreFront 3 and new versions of Receivers can be downloaded as well from here:

  • Director 7.6.300 – Citrix Director can be used now to monitor and troubleshoot XenApp 6.5 deployments, too. This version adds information on the HDX graphics channel. This is great news since quite many companies already left EdgeSight behind.

Another important update:

The EOM has been extended to 31 December 2017 provided you have active SWM or SA. Details are here

More information can be found here:

I will install the Feature Pack 3 today in my environment and check how it works.
